Biosafety Officer

At Cleveland Clinic, we believe in a better future for healthcare. And each of us is responsible — whether you work in a critical care area or as a support professional — to constantly improve outcomes and transform the patient experience, every day.

Excellence is not just encouraged. It is expected at every level — from the moment a patient and their family enters our doors and is greeted by our Red Coats to the time they are ready to go home with a comprehensive follow-up plan from their physician and pharmacist team. For this to happen, we do everything possible to allow our caregivers to deliver the highest-quality care. That means providing resources, re-evaluating processes, offering continued education programs and building each caregiver’s competencies to ensure the best outcomes possible.

Caregivers have the opportunity to take their growth into their own hands, with robust resources to instill leadership and encourage continued learning at all levels. Recognizing the many needs of our diverse workforce, we offer all caregivers and their families a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that starts on the first day of their employment.

As one of the world’s largest and busiest health centers, Cleveland Clinic is committed to delivering high quality programs of patient care, research, and education.  As such, the mission of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program is to create, promote, and maintain a safe and healthful environment for all individuals working and visiting the Cleveland Clinic. EHS multitalented Caregivers accomplish the mission through Biosafety, Fire Protection, Life Safety, Ergonomics, Hazardous Materials Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, and Construction Safety Asbestos audits and trainings.

Creating a healthier world means emphasizing new efficiencies to improve patient care. Our focus is on providing each member of our team with the space to grow, thrive and strive to be the best in their field and in any position and level. We provide a wealth of resources and empower our caregivers to work toward shaping the future of healthcare every day.
