Rizikon is assisting the City of Waco in pursuit of a Safety Manager.
This individual is responsible for administering and supervising the activities of the City’s team of safety professionals, engage and involve leaders and employees at all levels of the organization to drive a safety-based culture characterized by teamwork, commitment, compliance and accountability.
The incoming Safety Manager must be an energetic professional who approaches their work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, infused by a spirit of collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate should keep the end goal in mind, realizing that many roads lead to the City’s desired destination.
The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, forward-thinking visionary who uses innovative methods to communicate and report safety information, making it clear, succinct, informative, and readily understandable. Having to interact with city staff at all levels, the individual should be just as comfortable in professional attire as they are in jeans and work boots.
A thorough understanding of OSHA requirements, ISO standards, and how to successfully apply each in a municipal environment is essential.
The City seeks an individual of the highest moral and ethical character who will perform the duties of Safety Manager with integrity and work cooperatively with City leadership and staff to provide the best possible services to the employees of Waco.
