Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist
Glen Allen, Virginia
Purpose of Job:
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist will work out of the Glen Allen, Virginia office and is responsible for obtaining EH&S permits/certificates/licenses and ensure the conditions of the EH&S permits/certificates/licenses and all other pertinent regulatory requirements are met through working with regulators, reviewing and interpreting regulations, providing guidance to operations staff and conducting audits. This individual will review and respond to proposed and new local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations and keep the Cooperative updated on the implications of the regulations. The EH&S Specialist will locate and investigate sites that can be permitted and that support electric generation and transmission facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Safety or other related technical Degree. Other degrees may be acceptable with adequate work experience.
