Midstream fabrication and solutions company seeks an Environmental Engineer. The Environmental Engineer will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will aid in ensuring the compliance of all regulations regarding hazardous materials. Candidates must have experience with flared gas and emissions control.


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous materials.
  • Maintain awareness of all ongoing changes at the federal and state level.
  • Develop strategy for the mitigation of flare gas regulatory requirements and modify equipment design to manage these changes.
  • Oversee field examinations and report all hazardous locations and materials.
  • Establish relationships with state-level and customer environmental personnel.
  • Provide site audits and LDAR assessments.
  • Maintain management information systems that identify hazardous site locations, chemical inventories, and complaint investigations.
  • Develop solutions to eliminate pollution as well as environmental hazards.
  • Design and implement effective employee training programs.
  • Create detailed reports regarding field inspections.
  • Apply spill prevention programs and hazardous waste regulations.
  • Conduct research on current environmental conditions and report these findings.
  • Implement a Process Safety Management (PSM) program.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Environmental engineering/science experience in the oil & gas industry required. 
  • Experience in regulatory details for the states of Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, interpretations, and health and safety programs.
  • Knowledge of all relevant technologies for gas capture in the oil & gas industry, including flared gas and emissions control.
  • Broad relationships with relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Prior experience with gas processing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
