We are seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager for our Camden, AR due to expansion at that location.

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager typically accomplishes results through supporting staff which may include exempt and non-exempt employees.

  • Provides direction to direct report technicians on general policies and management guidance.
  • Develops and mentors staff to enable them to be effective in personal development and achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Interprets and executes policies that apply to site operations.
  • Recommends modifications to operating policies to reflect applicable regulatory changes.
  • Plans, organizes and implements complex, multi-year projects while maintaining budget, schedules and commitments.
  • Supervises reporting, permitting, auditing and data collection activities.
  • Provides guidance and/or assistance in meeting established schedules or resolving complex technical or operational problems.
  • Provides regulatory and technical advice to the organization and/or departments.
  • Develops performance measures and ensures they are consistently applied; promotes employee training and development; and responds to complaints and grievances.
  • Plans and manages the department’s budget to ensure the most efficient use of resources, adherence to guidelines, and accurate and timely reporting.
  • Supervises operations efforts to ensure compliance with Federal and/or state orders and directives, requirements and other operating standards.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires directly related and progressively responsible technical experience in order to provide effective supervision activities within defined scope of responsibility. Ability to provide effective direction, leadership and team building.

Ability to manage employees and complete associated administrative tasks, including the ability to select, appraise, motivate, and develop direct reports. Subject matter expertise on federal and state permit and compliance requirements on Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, SARA and other applicable environmental rules and regulations.

US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
