Environmental Systems Supervisor

Bulk liquid chemical storage company on Houston Ship Channel is seeking an Environmental Systems Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to anticipate, recognize, monitor and prevent health and environmental effects from workplace hazards to employees and the environment.
  • Interpret and maintain compliance with solid waste and waste water Texas Permits, EPA and TCEQ.
  • Oversee all current and future TERP, APAR, etc., remediation projects.
  • Interface with federal, state, county, city representatives during inspections.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Monitor all plant activities for possible procedural changes.
  • Monitor integrity of potable water, wastewater, solid waste and utility water.
  • Monitor all utility systems on a daily basis.
  • Oversee all environmental contract labs on analytical status reports, analytical scheduling, and QC/QA requirements preventive maintenance program.

 

Skills:

  • Minimum of BS Degree or equivalent experience in environmental area
  • Class C Potable and waste water license required
  • Basic utility knowledge measuring and conservation
  • Maintain a potable water system
  • Handling and disposal of solid waste (non-hazardous and hazardous)
