Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHSS) Regional Support Specialist
(Remote Opportunity in the Sacramento or Stockton, CA areas)

General Purpose and Scope of Position:
EHSS believes in a balanced approach to service excellence. We operate with integrity and heart to protect our people, property, and communities. EHSS Regional Support Specialist is responsible for serving as an EHSS technical expert and partnering with the operational team to continuously improve EHSS. This role works in conjunction with the EHSS team and other support departments to promote and deliver EHSS expertise to facilities.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

• Substantive experience evaluating and controlling EHSS hazards and risks
• Expert in EHSS regulations including OSHA and EPA
• Experience in EHSS management systems (ISO 14001/ISO 45000)
• Demonstrated capacity to lead on-site training
• Experience with a behavior-based safety program
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs and other database tools
• Knowledge in investigation and root cause analysis methodologies

• 5+ years’ EHSS work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Sciences, or another related field

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

• Identify, investigate, report, and effectively communicate critical EHSS issues
• Recognize EHSS hazards in systems, equipment, products, facilities, and/or operations
• Provide compliance advice re: OSHA, EPA, and other safety, health, and environmental laws and standards
• Interface with regulatory agencies on compliance issues
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to safety and environmental issues
• Direct and execute emergency response efforts
• Elevate EHSS related items to management as required
• Write and submit EHSS compliance reports as required
• Coordinate third party facility inspections and evaluations
• Develop and execute a support strategy aligned with risk-level of operations
• Development of educational and training materials
• Significant travel required – mostly day travel (up to 60%)
