Safety Coordinator

 Safety Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Are you a driven and hands-on leader, ready to motivate and foster a safety culture? PAC Worldwide in Middletown, Ohio is seeking a Safety Coordinator with the eagerness and ability to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by understanding best practices, recognizing potential hazards, developing necessary resources, and communicating the company’s expectations for mitigating hazards at a large-scale manufacturing plant. 

This individual will work with managers and employees to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, collaborate on audits and safety inspections, provide regular safety training and instruction, and coordinate PAC safety programs.

The Safety Coordinator should have the patience and commitment to work “hands-on” to help the entire team understand the company's commitment to safety and the need to follow the safety programs and should be committed to spending time in the manufacturing facility on a daily basis.

This position requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred
  • Direct safety experience in a manufacturing environment with a comprehensive knowledge of safety concepts
  • Safety program development and administration required
  • Must be willing to continuously attend training to stay current on safety compliance   
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English, Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and be willing to complete additional training.
  • Ability to collect, plot, graph, and interpret safety data required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required
  • OSHA 30 Hour Training strongly preferred, but required to complete within six months of employment
  • OSHA 501 Training strongly preferred
