Health & Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities:
• As member of site leadership team and HOS Steering Team, drive programs, processes, and systems that help the site achieve zero injuries, zero environmental incidents, and zero non-conformances. 
• Lead integration of environmental, industrial hygiene, process safety, product stewardship and safety (HSE) with Honeywell Operating System to improve overall plant performance through line organization ownership of appropriate HSE required activities.  
• Leverage, team with and facilitate the broader HSE functional organization and technical expertise to minimize HSE risk, complete required HSE tasks, meet deadlines and continuously drive HSE performance improvements. 
• Maintain and continuously improve the site's regulatory compliance assurance process in partnership with functional HSE teams. 
• Drive critical HSE improvement programs and clearly and concisely communicate program progress and resource needs to functional, business and site Leadership.  
• Actively support and participate in site's development of Annual Operating Plan and 5-year Strategic plan. 
• Drive a positive HSE culture, insisting on consistent implementation of and adherence to policies and procedures as well as strategies to increase employee involvement and engagement in HSE excellence. 
• Ensure processes are in place to create and maintain site specific HSE procedures as required by regulatory and company standards, including the Specialty Materials HSE Management System. 
• Ensure a site level HSE Management system is developed, documented and implemented to conform to the Specialty Materials HSE Management System, which is based on the ACC Responsible Care 14001 technical standard. 
• Coordinate and support the site in achieving RC-14001 external certification (as required for ACC dues based sites and sites with specific customer requirements). 
• Establish site HSE objectives & metrics (including proactive measures) in alignment with business targets.   
• Successfully integrate HSE processes with operations and business segment enterprises to ensure compliance and sustainable HSE performance. 
• Manage local agency relationships and participates in advocacy activities at the community, and local legislative, regulatory and trade association to minimize impacts on plant goals. 
• Develop, maintain and track site HSE Compliance Calendar activities to ensure compliance to regulatory and company requirements. 
• Participate in audits of site operations to assess full implementation of requirements, including surveillance, self assessment process, annual program reviews, GEMBAs and corporate HSER audits. 
• Manage external third party audits and inspections including regulatory agencies, insurance companies and other non-governmental organizations.

You Must Have:
• BS / BA degree in Engineering, Chemistry, environmental science or related field. 
• Minimum of 7 years experience with environmental and OSHA regulations, HSE management systems and compliance programs.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office. 
• Experience in managing in a Union environment preferred.  
• Proven track record of providing operational / functional leadership in a manufacturing environment.
