If you are an experienced Safety Manager we would love to talk to you about joining our Moundville, AL team.
The Safety Manager will develop programs, policies and procedures to eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error and equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage. This position will be focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develops and maintains safety policies, programs and procedures to eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error and equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and / or property damage.
-Insures compliance with OSHA standards and Company policies and procedures.
-Inspects machinery, equipment and work conditions in industrial or other settings to reduce the probability of injury and insure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
-Develops and delivers risk reduction training.
-Provides direction to supervisors regarding safety and compliance issues.
-Promotes safe work practices.
-Develops Audit and Inspection Requirements. Participates in third party safety audits.
-Manages Safety Incentive and Promotion Programs and Vendors.
-Manages Safety Supplier Vendors and Supplier Accounts, Contracts, Pricing, etc.
-Solving compliance issues & regulatory issues without hindering production.
-Obtaining buy in of loss prevention practices at all levels.
-Liaison between all levels of management toward safety improvement.
-Implementing training and process improvements within time constraints associated with a production environment working shift work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT regulations and worker's compensation laws.

Preferred Experience:

  • Safety experience in an Industrial environment
  • Manufacturing or forestry operations, preferred field of study
