Senior Safety Supervisor (EHS)
City of Industry, California
Develops and implements safety procedures to maximize safety for all plant employees. Provides various human resources functions to support the Safety Manager.


  • Responsible for ensuring that workers are properly trained regarding company-specific and OSHA, safety requirements.
  • Responsible for conducting safety orientations, daily "toolbox" safety meetings, periodic safety meetings and formal training sessions on a wide range of safety-related topics.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety-related regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards.
  • Proactively involved in ensuring that proper practices are observed in the workplace
  • Performs safety inspections and observe working conditions, equipment, and employee behaviors to identify safety problems and take corrective action.
  • Must be aware of obligations specific to the food industry and the types of jobs workers are performing.
  • Involved in creating, maintaining, and communicating safety-related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring that they are followed.
  • Provides assistance to plant personnel to improve safety and health of all employees.
  • Assist supervisory personnel and participate in accident investigations to include all close calls and near misses and must be proficient in root cause analysis.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Education and experience equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or related field from an accredited college or university

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing safety and human resources.
