Site Safety Technician

Rate of Pay: $27.00

Duration:
3 Month Project - Starts July 29th (Per Diem available for this traveling more than 60 miles.)
 

Prerequisites: 

  • Preferably minimum two years’ experience in safety
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to OSHA and company safe work practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of hazards in industrial/construction atmosphere
  • Must be able to abide by all internal and customer driven qualifications to enter site
  • Ability to identify hazards proactively and manage accordingly
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Scaffold experience
     

Essential Functions: 

  • Conduct orientation for all new personnel and continuous safety training
  • Perform daily inspections and audits, intervening when necessary
  • Review hazard analysis for field personnel to aide in identifying hazards
  • Maintain documentation within compliant requirements
  • Investigate any incident to its entirety, gathering all necessary information to compile report
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings with customer personnel
  • Aide with substance abuse testing including pre-employment, post incident, random, etc.
  • Manage personal protective equipment orders and stocked materials
  • Develop relationships with all operational personnel, working as a team
  • Lead and participate in routine Safety meetings
  • Ensure regular and timely communication with Corporate Safety personnel
  • Report daily findings to Site Manager
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with management and employees.
  • Participating in incident investigations and hazard assessment activities.
